Astronomy Equipment

Strategy

My primary imaging set up is geared for deep sky objects that small in the field of view and very distance requiring long integration times for individual sub-exposures.

After several years my primary scope is a Celestron 8″ Edge HD SCT with the .7x Celestron Focal Reducer.

My Camera is an SBIG STT-1603ME.  I use off axis guiding in conjunction with my camera.

The focuser is nothing less than a Moonlite Nightcrawler for the 8″ Edge HD.

I use a QHY Polemaster for my initial polar alignment routine.

The mount that all this gear sits on top of is a 10 Micron GM 1000 HPS.

I am using Model Creator 2 for my advanced modeling for the GM 1000 HPS.

The automation program that I use is Sequence Generator Pro.

The guiding program that I use is PHD2.
